Active Cosmeceuticals

What's an active cosmeceutical product? "Active" means the product must contain one or more ingredients or compound responsible for producing the desired effect of a mixture of ingredients and for giving the product its main characteristic. The active ingredient is not necessarily the most common ingredient in a product. Good examples of active ingredients are Topical Vitamin C, AHA, Antioxidants, HGH to name only a few. Does it mean that if a product is not considered "Active" it will not work? Absolutely not. Active Cosmeceuticals are excellent to address specific concerns such as pigmentation, or acne, but they are only a part of your daily skin care routine.
